You are likely aware that both Ford and Chev made some pickups like that, in the early 60's is what I'm aware of. The 60'ish Chevs had torsion bar front suspension!!!

So they did sell the Fargo brand down under?

Yeah. Fargo and Desoto too.
Yeah, But I still want one!
In Canada, Fargos were the cheap model and the Dodges were the upgrade model.
Just like the Ford and the Mercury trucks and cars back in the day.
(At least in Canada)
The right hand drive would be hard to get used to, but I would adapt!

Fargo wasnt a cheap model, they had the same options as the dodges. Was canadian built and many were exported to other countries.

Yeah, options.
The Dodges had some things standard that the Fargos didn't.
Kinda the same as Plymouth and Dodge.

I worked at Warren Truck in Warren Michigan for 35 years from 1972 through 2007 and we built both Dodge and Plymouth there along with a bunch of other stuff, running school bus chassis, running camper chassis, running mobile home chassis with 440's in them, we even build government truck with no badging on them at all. We built the Dodge Ram Chargers, the Plymouth Trail Dusters, and all the Dodge trucks and the Dodge Trucks that were built for export carried the FARGO name. Near the end of my employment there just before I retired we built the Dodge Dakota's and the Mitsubishi Raiders which was just a Dodge Dakota with different contoured sheet metal and badges and they were both built on the same lines by the same workers.

@66 CUDA

What was the last year a Fargo badged truck was built?

I was under the impression it was 1972, making that the only year for that Badging on the 72-1980 body style.

It was also my understanding that Plymouth badged "trucks" in the 1970's were only built to carry passengers, and marketed basically as station wagons. No "cargo" vehicles, IE only window vans with back seats, etc.
