This should be considered a core. Missing the choke. Throttle valves are free and open and close. This is all I know about this one. Fits 65 383,413,426 with automatic trans. In doing some research this carb number interchanges with 1965
3859s, 1966 383/440 4131s with automatic,1967 383 4298s standard, 4299s automatic. $ $35.00 plus shipping.

Is the carter afb the carb thar came on early 340s? I have a 68 340 intake and the base pattern is different than my thermoquad intakes.
