I'm not totally on board with this.

Ok i was just making sure i understood your comment.
It is funny though that one of the listed people that don't eat pork.
Do eat raw ground sirloin.
If you'd like to feed me a sirloin, I'll take it medium well, please and thank you

Well if your wife has another seminar here and you can make it, sure no problem
I have no idea where the next one will be

The last two years it has not been held in person and she has had to follow it all online

I think the one we talked about was in Philadelphia, the next one would have been San Diego ...who knows where this year's will get canceled from

But I will take you up on that offer if we ever pass through there

My dad had pig valves in his heart and it was good to have him around for awhile longer.

I watch things on the internet where animals and mother nature coming back in the places like Chernobyl. I think to myself that even though there are very smart people that say this planet can handle 9 billion people, at 7.somethin, we arent getting along, so why keep us around in these numbers? With 5-6 generations of families living at the same time it seems like too many, but what do I know? Nothing. Just a gearhead making some observations.......and the last of 9 children so good thing they kept on breeding.

I know this borderlines the religon and politics so take what I say with a grain please. I know we have a lot of real estate on the planet, but why just fill it up? Human nature I guess. My shop is a prime example. Before you chime in with your "I live in wide open spaces" comment, realize that another 2 billion people have to move somewhere.

Again, just a guy, with no children. I do not have a horse in the race and I was very happy to have father around for awhile longer. I was too young to be orphaned, they both passed within 3 months of each other....true love.

Well said
.
I have great grand children.
If I live another 15 or more I could probably have great , greats.
Growing up by the time you were around 10. You woul be lucky to have two grandparents still stand.
Most of us back then had one.

I'm not lookin to jump in front of a speeding truck but I'm not afraid to die. Other than that, I'll not comment further.

Agreed, having elders around has its benefits. I am not totally resolved in my statements BTW, just making observations Sir. I like my old people.

There have been unusual documented cases that when a heart from one person is transplanted into another, some strange things can happen.
There are cases where a formerly sedentary man, developed a penchant for exercising. And musical instruments were picked up. and musical interests changed.
And most interestingly, there are cases where memories from the deceased person were transmitted to the recipient. I'm looking forward to watching this play out.
In the meantime, don't buy any new carpet...........
And stock the pantry with apples.....

You guys aren't remembering Baby Fae, who in 1984 received a baboon heart because a replacement heart wasn't available. She didn't make it long, but it was controversial at the time.

What Happened When a Baby Girl Got a Heart Transplant From a Baboon

IMHO, having lost my wife's young nephew in 2020 while he was waiting for someone else to die to give him a new kidney, other options are always good.

Grab a pig heart and have pork chops for dinner. Win-Win.

Clearly you don’t live in a retirement community like I do! I thought it would be a nice break being away from all the young shitheads, but old people are shitheads, too.

Ha Ha! Yeaah, I can mitigate my exposure to the older ones a spoonful at a time as I visit them on my terms. Im trying to turn into a non judgmental old person myself....a exponentially growing difficult task.

Old people have great stories, and we tell them over, and over, and over.
What about Del now?

I would love to answer that, but that would break the OPs "no religious talk" request

So, let me say this, get your hands on a book called "none of these diseases" and you will find the Christian-Judeo answer to that questions

On a side note...do you ever watch a show called "monsters inside of me"?

Out of all the transmission possibilities for parasites, the main one seems to be undercooked pork
Tried to shoot you a msg.. Your box is full.

Sweet, I have an 80yr old mother in law in our downstairs bedroom that needs a change of scenery. PM your address and I'll pay the shipping :)

I'm fine with the idea of growing biological organ replacements to improve quality of life and give more years to folks who take care of themselves and feel a purpose in life. But, I can see in the near future this will be another Medicare procedure to (like big pharma) keep a bunch of pilled up drones in front of the tv screen for another decade or two.
