Will I break this crank?

-
Why yes i have 11.87........
With all the money you spent on your Psssss Pssss set up..... have you sprayed it down the track yet?
Its been like, two years now, hasnt it:poke:.
I'm sure I haven't spent as much money on my nitrous kit as you spent listening to an internet guru rebuilding your carburetor that you don't use...lol .:poke:...

Are you sure?
I continually tested and learn the pit falls and work on them and in the end i have two carbs
Have you even proved your concept.

You really need to just pull it off and sell it to someone that will us it. Your fuel system will go bad just by sitting.........What do you think them fuel/nos sw are going to do....... Just saying................

Oops looks like I struck a nerve... LOL..

Use a stand alone fuel system for the nitrous with 110 fuel in the cell. Be conservative with the timing. Detonation will break any part.

The cost between a cast and forged crank is much less if you internally balance the cast crank (they should be internally balanced). Otherwise you have to live with external balancing and I won’t get into how bad that is. But it’s a bad idea. Just like removing the center counterweights. It was not because it was a good idea, but it’s because it made the bean counters happy.

Cast crank, internal balance $432.82;

Scat Cast Crankshafts

These Scat cast crankshafts are perfect for mildly built street engines or just to replace stock crankshafts that have seen better days. These Scat crankshafts are precision-ground and micro-polished to exacting tolerances.

The Scat 9000 series isn't even close to the same as the Eagle cast garbage. Just one look at the where and how large the rod journal holes are drilled tells you an awful lot. Even the appearance of the metal itself tells you something isn't right here. I love the 9000 series because they are inexpensive,light,stiff and strong enough for 99% of folks. I've done 649hp with an Indy headed 416 and I'm sure its still running. I wouldn't move to a much more $$$ and flexible forging until I was anticipating at least 700+hp and or sustained WOT like circle track or marine or Bonneville use. Again JMO. J.R.

Ramm could you recommend a harmonic balancer for the Scat 9000 cast steel crankshaft internal balance ?

With the money saved over a forged crank you could afford a nice ATI if you were really concerned or go cheaper and get a PowerBond Race series--they are actually really nice for the $$. J.Rob
