My Trailduster Search Is Over

Nice score. I love the 2wd. I’d drop it on bags, take the top off and cruise the **** outta that thing on PCH. I’d really like to see an autocross/handling version built. I don’t care for a lot of gas monkey builds but the 2wd international scout they built I really like and that’s the style I’d like to see one of these in.

Just don't hide in the shop with a 60 of rum and a cut wheel, while the wife has visitors over that you don't like! LOL

Did you ever get that finished?
Nope, those pictures are about 33 years old. She's sitting in the yard beside the hangar. Interesting part is it's been outside for 24 years now and hasn't really rusted. Maybe I should let my Mother in Law visit again ( I banned her from our property some 30 years ago) and I could go hide again and get it done! LOL

Yeah, could tell by the pics that was a while ago. You haven't had you MIL over in 30 years?!?!
I think you're my new hero.

Looking good!
How much of the sheet metal is available commercially? like floors, sills, all that stuff around the bottom. I looked at one recently but was worried about how much fabbing I was in for and let it pass.

Surprisingly, all of the sheet metal is available.

And compared to A, B, E body panels it's CHEAP. I'm talking $25-$65 depending on what piece it is.

Get one now. These are the next MOPAR vehicles that are set to spike in price (they have kinda started going up already). The pop top 70's models are getting tough to find, but there's a lot of 80+ models out there.

Somehow I missed this thread, but that's a very nice find! If it was me I'd keep the slant and 4-speed, how cool would that be! Nice work on the rust repair, it looks great. I'll be watching this one.

The leaning tower of power was definitely leaning, but not making much power! Ha.

And the 4 speed was an NP435, with a granny gear #1. So, it was lacking in the "fun to drive" category.

I'm going with a 318 and an A833, just gonna be a nice little cruiser that my wife can drive too.
