A/C push button controls,1970 ?

Looks like what was in my 1969 Dart w/ factory AC. The 5-button pneumo-electric switches are available new and I think stayed the same design for years. I was following some for $75 on ebay, which is better than the ~$95 I recall paying via Paddock catalog ~1994. My Dart had that toggle switch. Both parts had melted due to excessive current (plus a little corrosion). I couldn't find a replacement switch, so took it apart and carved a plastic slide to replace the melted part. There is a writeup by someone on rebuilding the pneumo-switch. To avoid future melt-downs, I added a 30A relay which takes the load for the "blower high" position, which feeds full 12 VDC to the motor (no resistor in series). You can probably find an LED bulb which fits and shines sideways to put more light on the "light tubes".

In my 1965 Newport, I had more problems since it has a 4-button pneumo-switch which you can't find anywhere, and it also melted from high current. Apparently, those were only installed in non-AC cars (A's had mechanical cables). But, I rigged a 5-button switch to work, rearranging the vacuum tubes.
