Need some help with electrical connector.

1) First is this connector with 2 orange and 2 yellow
- it has power with key off on the yellow side if correct.
- I am completely unsure where it goes ( it is not showing on any of my diagrams.

Agree there were some major hacks. The ammeter or its connections probably got damaged because they didn't understand what they were doing.
The ammeter is, or was, in the battery circuit. So it will be critical to figure out how the battery is now connected in.
This is the basic power feeds for a '73 Duster unless it has the fleet type alternator or rear window defrost grid.

2) on the fuse block I have attempted to locate my stock radii wire but cannot locate one anyone got a picture of their original plug ( 2 orange/white/red?

So on your year there are, or were oriignally, 7 fuse slots.
2 are fed from the main splice are always hot.
3 were fed from the key switch. They are labled 'Accessory'.
We were just helping on a '73 so look here to see the fuse diagram.
The post underneath shows the wiring to the radio for power. Follow wire C1 to X12. There's a seperate wire for the radio light. I didn't include it in the diagram because it was irrelivant to the problem we were looking at. When you look at the full diagram in the shop manual, you will see it.
