Dual Quad 318... I used a 273 intake

-
I guess just as I've gotten older and I don't like running from one project to the next and wondering if I'll ever get one done..
Life is great!!!..
I'll answer it for you - You'll not get one done! LOL.... you are constantly changing your car like the weather. So no, you'll never get it done :D

IDK either but they do on a BBM and work outstanding
do you like annular boosters with dual quads? AVSII

well, certainly annular boosters getting in the way of airflow is not an issue, not sure I need more fuel either. Maybe better atomization? 12 holes vs 1 hole?...

Street demons have triple boosters so I believe I actually have 12 in my primaries....

I don't see myself playing any games with the boosters... Actually, for just slapping them on, I was pretty impressed at how well they ran.

The atomization on a solid fuel meter carb would be better than an emulsion design carb.

Just put an 850 TQ on my 360 small block and it runs cooler revs smoother and faster and the mid range is just WOW

Lets see if it runs quicker at the track

I ran TQ carbs on the street for years. Always ran great!

Changed oil today and took it for a nice 90+ mile ride. I put 5.5 gallons in it and it had more gas when I got home than when I started, so I don't think the dual quad hurt the gas mileage, at least nothing noticeable by going on a cruise

Back in the 70's, I purchased an Edelbrock dual-quad Model D64 intake manifold fitting a 1964-65 273 I found in the display case of my local Salinas Dodge dealer (Bob Wills) for $50.00 (it was painted the correct 273 red engine color). However, I always ran a Holley 600 CFM double pumper on an Edelbrock Tarantula intake manifold on my bracket car '65 Valiant 4 door/4 speed conversion. Never used the D64. I was wondering if anyone is currently using one, how it is set up, and how it performs? Thank you. (Lost the D64 when I moved)

I bought @rumblefish360 's D64. I also have the Offy 5488 that is in the video. I will be slapping them both on the 360 I'm building and will post up the results in the future. You can see what I've done on them if you look back on the what I did to my car today thread. Within the last two months.
The Eddy is a 180* manifold.
The Offy is a 360* manifold.
I may even compare progressive vs straight linkage too. I really don't care about mileage.

edit:
stupid autocorrect on my phone, grrrr

Over what?

I ran a big TQ on a MP modded LD-340 purple 292/.509 and it was terrific. Just a street runner & back alley brawler.

Take the time jetting the pair and your probably going to echo 318WR.

Offenhauser - I think the number was 5488??? Don't quote me on that... LOL. Anyways, it's the Offenhauser 360* dual quad for a early 273
Did it bolt right up? I just picked one up in a package deal and looks like it'll fit without any fabrication. Bolt holes look like they might be tight fit on an edge. Would like to know, Thanks

I oval the holes and used spheric washers.
