Port St. Lucie Florida

I’m there. Are you sure about high humidity days in the 90’s for months? I’m used to a much faster pace of driving. Speed limits are 10-15 slower than what I’m used to. But it is a nice easy comfortable drive.
On the flip, I-95’s limit is 70. I get passed like I’m standing still by a soccer mom driving a mini van loaded with kids never mind the sport cars. It can be a little tough to find “That House” that is not in a HOA.

Overall, it’s good here. Speaking of born bred and raised people from this state, Excellent people around me. Very warm and welcoming. Easy going and will love to laugh with you.

Even the people that have lived elsewhere say they feel so relaxed and happy they came down.

Is it a good move? Like a jacket or pants, try it on and see if it fits.

Son in law went hunting in northern Florida and came home with a little something…. LMAO, 375 lbs of a little something with tusks…

I’m not sure about the humidity there in PSL. On the map it looks far enough south that that would be the BAKE that Smokey Yunick said. You know, bake in the south, boil in the north.

And I forgot PSL is on the Atlantic side so I’m not sure how that affects humidity.

I spent some time last night looking at property taxes around PSL. It’s hard getting a read on it. Some of the stuff I was looking at had the property taxes go up 2k in a year or two.

I don’t think my friend as much of a plan, and not nearly enough money to move there and retire. And not have to work at least part time. He is known as a piss poor planner, and this is just one of many piss poor plans. He’s certainly over his skis. I think he is flying down there in early February to find a place to rent. And the clue is he has never been there. He has no clue.

And his house sold so his options are to suck it up and move in March, or move in with his 84 YO father. 6 of one half dozen of the other I suppose.
