Stop in for a cup of coffee

Why arent we experiencing similar shortages here? Last trip to the store all the shelves were full. Im thinking higher population creates greater demand.
Possibly. But most of the shortages here in the US is because due to environmental rules, nearly all of our food grade plastics come from China... and the west coast ports are SWAMPED due to Californian laws around Covid and different union strikes and rules and such. For my company to receive anything off a ship, it’s 6-12weeks from the time it entered the holding pattern out in California. To ship out of the port, 16-22 weeks right now just to get loaded into a container, another 4-6 weeks to make a ship. We have a machine due to go to the Philippines that is sitting in a warehouse in LA, waiting on a container, and has been sitting in the same spot since September 17th.
