Tire(S) for my Ram

2003 Ram 1500 4x4 5.7 p265/70/R17

So I went to Mom's today. She's 50 miles from me. I forgot something so i turned around...luckily i was 3 miles from home. Walked back to my truck and the tire was low. 15#. Strange I thought since it was the drivers side, as a truck driver you get use to checking things like that. Added air...then heard a dull pop on top of the tire then a loud hiss.

I figured i'd just plug it but it didnt look like a plug would work. Take a look at the picture.

I drive usually 250 miles a week, mostly highway or rural highway. There is a stretch of rural highway that is between flat farm fields so snow is a concern. Last year only 3x that really concerned me. I hunt but the roads are ok. Some off roading. Nothing crazy.

I'd prefer an aggressive tire for those 3 times year and if the highways turn to ****. I do plan in towing a car trailer this year so a tire in the E/121 load range is preferred.

Anyway. I was looking at the Cooper Discoverer at3, Bfgoodrich All Terrain KO2 or Nitto Terra Grappler G2.

Just figured I'd see what you all think. I'll be getting them next Saturday.
We have 5 months of winter driving here and I have had good luck with Goodyear Duratracs. Tread and ride quality good but are a little noisy due to tread pattern. Also need to keep them rotated every 7000 miles to prevent them from lumpy and cupped.RJ
