I agree but then unless he has a friend that will really help him out on it, he has about as much in an old used one as a brand new one.
That said, IMO, there are no GOOD new ones available. .....and I've ordered in several when I was with O'Reilly. They were horrible castings. Just horrible. So really, you'll have a better product with an old one, even spending to get the bolts out......so it's kinda a judgment call I guess.
