Ratty valiant shell + 440 ?

If you want to do it cheap go with the 440, you can build 450 hp 440 with 90 percent stock parts, you can build a 650 hp 440 for the same money as a 408. Small block guys will tell you small block without having ever built a big block. If that Valiant has manual brakes and steering a 440 is a breeze.

Put a tf2 kit in the 46re, rings and bearings in the 5.9. While it’s apart open up the ring gaps. Add a set of 60lb injectors. The most expensive part of the whole equation will be the fuel system and tuning and neither one is terribly expensive. You gotta do a fuel system regardless. Add a gt45 turbo from eBay for $169. Ask @subcom he’s gone pretty quick with a similar setup.
 
I have a deal on a freshly rebuilt 360la....im a huge magnum fan , but im telling myself maybe a turbo charged la 360 in a light body could be amazing , i would love a big block but the car as already a small block k member...so i think a small block with forced induction or even a 408 rotating n/a could be the way to go for now....
