The Bolt for the pivot on the adjustment bar for the alternator looks like it goes into the water jacket on the block of my small block 67 Barracuda has been leaking. Putting the question out there as to the best product to use on the threads to seal it up when i reinstall it? Thanks Ken

Yes, that bolt goes into a water jacket. To get a good seal you may have to drain the coolant to below the bolt hole and blow the hole out with compressed air. Gasket sealer works as does thread sealing compound.

I would add one thing. Like @toolmanmike said, drain the coolant below that bolt hole. Then thoroughly clean and dry the threads in the hole the bolt goes in. I believe you will get the best seal that way.

Radiator is out for repair, so perfect for gettig clean and dry to get the best seal. Thanks for your input
