Wondering what manufacture supplied tires for the 1967 Barracuda? I still have the spare that come in it when I purchased the car. It is a BF goodrich belted TA. P215/70B14
DOT bdhy700071
So is that a TA from 1971?

Goodyear tires were very typical in cars in 67 .

i stand corrected.... Dating started in 71 do that may very well be a 71 TA!

Cars from the factory did not come with radial tires until much later than that in fact my my 77 Aspen Super Pac came with Goodyear Polyglass GT’s which we’re belted tires.

I have a factory original redline tire for my 67 Barracuda Formula S 383, it was in the trunk when I bought the car, and it is a survivor...

the radials were only California built cars.

That post is for the post 2000 DOT coding. They used only 3 numbers up until 1999 for date codes. First 2 for week and last for year. tires didn't last long back then so there was little , , confusion on the years. 101 Could be 10th week of 71, 81, or 91.

Take that tire off. Not safe to use at all.

I would say mostly were Goodyear. I know they were datecoded from 1962/1963. I have an NOS datecoded set on this car dated from April to December 1965.

Uniroyal also made the "Tiger Paw" in a redline. All the big tire companies were making a version back then. The replacement market is where the companies made their money. Original equipment contracts kept the factories going but retail sales is where the profits came from.

Original tires on my '68 cuda were E70X14 redline Firestones. That spare tire is not original.
