Are these parts still useable? Countershaft shows some flaking of an otherwise perfect shaft. I know these are available new but cost $60 in Europe.
Is welding and grinding down an option (are the shafts hardened? I assume yes...).

Mainshaft: this is the bearing seat area (rear bearing). Bearing doesn't go on without a press so I assume it is still good.

How about some photos of the entire part.
Countershaft and mainshaft don't mean anything to me unless you mean camshaft and crankshaft.

Sorry I missed the self evident "manual transmission and clutch discussion" under the post tag:BangHead:

Transmission main and counter shaft. They could be spray welded and cut back down. But you should take them with the bearings to a machine shop (or measure it yourself) to see how much interference fit you have first. The gear bearing journal with the scoring needs polished back out, and may have to be built back up. I’m sure there’s an oversize roller bearing made for something else that could take up the extra clearance, but it would probably take quite a bit of legwork to find it.

Main shaft is ok. The countershaft needs replaced. Be sure to check the roller area inside the cluster/counter gear also for similar damage.

Thanks! Main shaft was my main concern but I measured it against a known good shaft (I know that sounds wrong but you know what I mean ;) ) and diameter is the same.

Ok, new countershaft it is. Cluster gear is fine as I use a different gear set with very low miles.
