Things You Need To Know If You Move To The South

Here there are no roads with medians.
It is called The Neutral Ground.
If they expect a hard rain or flood the New Orleans TV News states.
You can on a temporary basis park your cars on the Neutral Ground instead if the street.
They also state if streets are flooded do not drive in an underpass.
But someone always does.

Oh and is is normal for someone to say to you it is Gumbo Weather instead of Winter as soon as we get a cold snap.

First time in New Orleans I was training a guy. Driving down the road I asked "what are those pipes?"

Ohhh, that's where the water goes that is pumped from the roads.... wait, what?? "Yeah, the city is under sea level and it would fill up with water if they didn't pump it"

And people still want to live there, lol.

Seriously though, years later we moved to Biloxi and visited NOLA often. We even went to the Endymion Mardi Gras parade....damn, what a rush!!
