This doesn't surprise me. Let's face it. Mopars are more sexy than the other domestic models? And sexapeal attracts sin. Owning and caring for these classics is not the sin. Sin is by Man's actions. Thus the sin is what you do with the car? Starting with how one obtained?
Fiat hasn't owned Chrysler's majority share for sometime now. Those are Dodge's new generation performance cars. Cheap and easy performance. Just turn the key. Ideal for the criminal mindset. Performance with little effort to obtain. Those are Fiats.
No, those are based on the DaimlerChrysler LX platform. Fiat wasn't in the picture then. Those are Fiats
There is no key to turn. They are push button start cars that use a RFH to read the key FOB. We just had two of them broken into at the shop this week. What they do is break a window to get into the car, This way the alarm doesn't go off when the door is opened. Then they removed the right kick panel to access the STAR connector and use a laptop with special software and a special wiring connector to get into the RFH and "backdoor" the controller. From there they can wipe the key FOBs that are programed to the vehicle and make it think the laptop is the new key FOB. It's not as easy as you think, that is why I have two cars to repair. They couldn't get them to start.Just turn the key
The "Turn key" is not in reference to starting the car. It's in reference to factory performance already installed? I have always answered today's performance vs classic muscle? I wonder how my 440 would respond with 15lbs of supercharger boost? If I didn't twist the chassis? But bye Hellcat! I've ran up against a couple of these at local test & tune. '74 451 Duster running 10s. Once amber light goes on? Never saw them again! They are not that bad ***. A Gen II hemi can easily out perform a Gen III. Because it's just bigger. And heads can out flow. There is no key to turn. They are push button start cars that use a RFH to read the key FOB. We just had two of them broken into at the shop this week.
