In my mercury (ford) I run Motorcraft 5w20 its a blend tho.
I found some 5w20 conventional at my local rural king. I've used it a few times in my mercury no problems .

One of the reasons for the synthetic oil in Fords is those timing chains, it helps with chain stretch. At least that's what I was told by Amsoil.
