Deleted thread ? Really ?

I started a discussion on Russia and it appears to have been deleted .
WTF ? Is this a controversial topic ?
We cant discuss world events ?
Not even an explanation ?
 
It was moved to N+P.
Why ? I don't know.
I thought we were having a decent conversation without getting political.
I really enjoyed the conversation.
 
If anything is even remotely political, the mods take note and action. I posted a meme awhile ago, that seemed harmless enough to me, but it was removed. I googled the subject and realized it was somewhat applicable. I accepted the situation and moved on.
 
Don't feel bad. Mine about the work stoppage for the Healthcare workers got thrown out of the park yesterday lol. I have no idea why as it looked pretty civil to me last time I had checked it and then BAM...... See ya....

The healthcare workers thread went south when politics were brought up and one member started using foul language directed at another member
Fall out from the N&P forum is the usual culprit
 
I watch threads go off the rails with name calling for pages and pages yet no one intervenes in those .
Ussually the same members derailing them .
 
That IS the name of that sub forum, yall. NEWS and POLITICS, because one usually leads to the other. Bein a moderator ain't a payin gig and that's somethin either we forget from time to time or some people just don't even know. That's where those posts BELONG. Just because You or me or everybody else might think it's harmless, doesn't make it right. The mods already have enough to do without "worrying" about whether or not a thread might go sideways too much for the regular forum, so somebody made a preemptive strike (and a smart one) and moved it. ....and before you jump on me for this message, I'm not a member in N&P so I'm going to miss the discussion, too. It's their forum and their rules, not ours. I think sometimes we forget that. I know I do.

True. I think someone just made a preemptive strike is all. They're probably gettin tired of it.
 
It started with the anti union slamming, I replied trying to be civil, than another post mentioned politics followed by a reply post cursing at a member
Thats all it takes
Cursing at a member in the GF will get you a vacation depending on who is doing the cursing
The post is in the N&P. My replies can be read there, other than that thread I refrain from that forum as its cess pool

Yep I sent it to the News and Politics. Listen to Rusty, he get's it! @mbaird why would you start a thread about Russia and not think it's a current event and doesn't belong in the N&P? What were you thinking? I saw these words and made my decision:
Russia, Regan, Communist, dictatorship, World war 1 and 2, Putin, China, Bull ****, Russia/China strategy, Joke Biden, taliban, and the list goes on.

Next time you start a non car related thread, think about the subject matter and where it could go in a few short posts before you hit the enter button.

It kind of gives non-car threads a spice to it lol.... But your right, say just the wrong thing and it's a wrap.... Who knows, now that I am a Troll maybe I need to change my wicked ways and go work on stuff in the garage that makes me not a Troll lol.....

I missed most of those references ..
And I see lots of threads referencing WW1 and WW2 but they dont get deleted .
I still dont see how the subject of Russia can be controversial . Aren't we pretty unified about Russia being a corrupt and dangerous oligarchy ?
Or do we have a bunch of communist members that might disagree ? I dont recall any ...
 
I'm a fbbo member and signed into the political forum there. Very informative and entertaining , but I get enough of it, "over there". I made sure I didn't join N&P here, just pure Mopar talk. (And I do have both a couple b's and an a-body)
