Wish I had known that.
I want to spend the time to work on mine but I dont want to drive the Barracuda around town and especially this time of year. I got away with it until January so not complaining. :)
An XJ would be just fine.

This would not have been a good driver again, unless it had a lot of repairs made first. The man who bought it had it towed right to a repair shop. He will be using it only to plow his parking lot.

I’ve got an ‘89 YJ 6 cylinder 5 speed that I my wife says I have a love/hate relationship with.

I love cruising with top down and doors off.

I hate that factory Carter BBD carb. I could NEVER get that piece of crap carb to idle correctly.

I bought a Motorcraft carb conversion kit and it runs SO much better.

Picture coming soon…

Never heard of a Motorcraft carb conversion kit.

Found this for sale for $4000 and thought some of you might know what it's worth. runs and drives but been sitting in a pole building for over 2 years.

Sorry for the bad picture.

Bet not fun to drive on pavement. I have lots of dirt roads around here and would be fun on them.
Was going to buy a side by side but to expensive.
no kidding, i considered a side by side as a plow rig for a hot minute, but an actual plow truck was a lot more versatile and affordable

Worth every bit of 4 grand if its complete and no rot frame
Id buy that in a second if it was closer
Thanks Steve, The gal selling it lost her husband 2 years ago and said she would take less money for it but not going to do that to her. I'm not rich but I do have values.

The frames do not rot on those Jeeps, bent frames yes, but the are an open channel.
Rotted body's are the death of them, the one Fred posed is a 46 - 48 A.
Engine wise they are all about dead at 20,000 miles.
Fresh re-bore and run them some more.
If it wiil drive and stop $4k is a fair price.
Pay attention if the trans is good, but they are easy to rebuild.

Back in around 65/66 my father bought a 48 CJ2a. I learned to drive in that jeep, took my road tests and dated a few girls in that rag tag old jeep. The body eventually rusted bad and I dont recall the milage but towards the last several years we had it, it burnt a lot of oil
We had that jeep for around eight years and besides a tune up never touched the clutch/ trans/ engine

Buy it they are fun vehicles, built this out of a $200 pos.
