This has nothing to do with Sam. ... and I've said this before.. but we (the consumer) have ownership in this. For years we "price checked". "X" store wants 34.99 and "Z" store has them for 17.99. "Z" got our business and money. If "X" wants to compete and stay in business, they must find a cheap alternative, so they too have a 17.99 price. Now we sit with junk. Junk appliances, junk parts, mostly junk everything. It's not all the consumers fault, though. Misrepresentation by the manufacture, and greedy for even more profits plays a big part in this also.

• Service parts for our cars, I like quality and often go with a more expensive part.
• Performance parts, I'm guilty - I have a 135.00 SM intake instead of a 425.00 eddy. I have 730 heads instead of 2200 TF. To keep the cost of "hobby" down, I've gone low price on some things to cut the price by 2/3.
