Before bashing a business do a little research

Subverting all possible exposure to the TRUTH that everyone wants freedom -- and that we undeniably continue assembling in massive numbers all over the world to preserve it! -- the photo of Toronto you have to click on to view through a normal Facebook Share is below.

Look what they're trying so hard not to let you see and share. ⏬

Truckers, farmers, tow truck drivers, portable pizza oven operators, church members, citizens by the thousands ... the momentum is building at a tremendous pace!

Keep posting them up! Let others know they're not alone.

I think it's obvious things have gotten way too soft for us. We complain and b**** and grown when we can't get our packages or our internet is slow overall as a nation we're enjoying the softest times in human history probably. At least we're not sending our sons and brothers to be killed in foreign lands by the thousands or standing in soup lines or work station hoping to get enough work to feed our families. Or maybe living in a tent wondering where your next meal will come from my God people turn your face towards the sun.

I appreciate that perspective, but it's taken from a "there ain't nuthin' We can do" attitude, and that's just not the case. The reason it's frustrating is because most of Us know it doesn't have to be like this. 2&1/2 yrs ago I'd have an order practically fall on My toes if I turned around & opened the front door too fast after placing it. It's not soft to demand better,....but You are correct, too many have priorities that have blurred the focus on what matters.
To John's point, We have to have patience with businesses, a lot of them are fighting for survival right now.....financially, personally, & phsyically.

I get it I work for a government agency and I have seen covid blame for every shortcoming, manipulation and greed that you could imagine, but it can overtake me change me into a negative unhappy person. And I'm doing my best not to give it that power , but to Pittsburgh point some of it is totally legit and it's too easy to make assumptions if we don't know the facts and when we do that we become the bad guy.

Have the ostriches multiplied or do they have multiple accounts?

nope

if you take money for a service or a part you know you can not provide you are a thief
plain and simple
So true... I ordered a car part over five months ago and still have not received it from a well known company (will not mention the name, but everyone here knows them). They took the money (most companies don't charge until the item is sent), but no part yet. I called them and was told they are still on back order. I say don't advertise a product if you don't have it. I could have bought it elsewhere. My car will not run without the part and I don't need two, if now I buy it elsewhere.

As an entrepreneur here in Canada the same manufacturer back orders are a plague. Gone are the days when a customer could request a part and it would be in my shop either the same day or at the latest the next day. Reality now is we have back orders with no ETA even suggested. Therefore, please do not take out your frustration on either the entrepreneur or their wholesalers as this will reduce everyone’s stress levels. Thank you.
We get some people that are upset that their parts have not arrived ...yet.
I always tell them this.
"If parts are not going over the counter I am not making any money"
It is very frustrating not only to the consumer but for us the suppliers.
It is a different world right now, for now.
Be nice to each other, this will pass.

Boy some people aren’t happy till they ruin every post. Some of you guys need some therapy.
No kidding. And it is ALWAYS the same haters! I could list the names of the people who always post hate speech rather than reply to the topic of the thread.

I have been seeing it almost daily on Facebook and racing websites with guys bashing businesses over late parts or no responses. I know of three basically one man or woman shops that the owners are fighting health issues with some in terrible condition. Most of them can’t help parts delivery but if they are in the hospital fighting for their life they have bigger issues than you. Before you bash ask nicely if anyone has heard anything from ??????????
I agree, be patient, I ordered some parts from a company in New York they told me it would be 2 months. I agreed, no problem I got a lot of other things to do on my car restoration. Well, I got my items finally 9months latter. They were so back logged because of the coved. They did a great job on making my door panels and other items that I needed.

the thing that did bother me was what Jegs did to me. I ordered an ATI powerglide case from them and they charged my card and acted like it was a done deal. Meanwhile a call to ATI I found out there were none to be had. A call back to them three months later I’m told they probably won’t have any this year (2021) and who knows how far into 2022. He then told me Jegs is known for changing months ahead on backordered parts so I called and canceled it. It still cost me months on a credit card.

Supply chain issues have created a monster problem getting just about anything. How much is actual and how much is created is anyone's guess. Some may be material issues, some manpower issues. As much as everyone loved getting the stimulus checks from the government, as well as creating an environment of entitlement, who knows if things will ever get back to "normal". I kind of think what we are seeing now may very well become the new normal.

On a grass roots level. When not doing a high end build, Im finding that its really bringing out the 'hot rod' in me. i am having to make parts that I would normally order, or find another way around the problem. It takes a bit more time, but not as much time as waiting for the parts and I get an education. Spend money on good used tools and make it! Good reasons to keep parts that would normally be tossed or utilize the parts sold on this great forum. I know for members building stuff that needs specific stuff this is not a solution. My project is stalled.....but because of my own doing.....another thread maybe....

FABO RULES!
