Went on the local pick-n-pull website found 2 cars in Oakland 69 dart 4 door and 74 valiant.
Removed what i could time was limited got some seat belts for the kids car, push washer pump, emergency brake handle, mostly everything else gone. 74 valiant removed the disk brakes and that’s all i could get but there’s still quite a bite left there looks to be 8 1/4 rear end but other then that productive. Would like to get the rear who knows. Should have gotten better picks.

Good score.
I also saw those cars listed on the PNP web site, inventory listings.
But my PNP days have come to an end, due to health issues with this worn out old body of mine.
I see the lower control arm(s) have the sway bar mount tab.
Did the car still have the sway bar on it?

Yep I left it as I drove off I remembered it mite go back Monday i work close. I put this out there in case anyone needs anything.

Yep good idea not looking for the money, more to help people out, that’s why I’m thinking I should have taken more pictures. That will be Sunday’s post. Thanks mike

That radio/heater bezel is turning me on!!

They charge way too much money anymore.
Those dicks nickel and dime everything. If a part has a bracket on it, they charge for that. Environmental fees, all sorts of BS tack on charges. It is almost as if it is a business.

Seriously though...they are dicks about the added charges.
I'm surprised to see that you were able to get the brakes from the car. That stuff usually is the first to get grabbed. The car must have just landed in the yard. Good for you, man!

It was 130 fore the first picture, seat belts washer pump and the other small things. 160 for the brakes I thought it wasn’t bad deal at all. I’ll head there Monday or tomorrow see what’s left? Again not looking for money, but just putting it out there incase someone has thought of what they mite want.

My PNP tells me the have a car in, I go there and the thing is just a shell. WTF? The notices are a week late. And the prices are not that good anymore. They charge more for tailgate lift shocks that Rock does for new ones. I did find a 340 in a Dart once, I didnt get it but posted it up here for someone to get it.

Their online inventory is not accurate. I have been there looking for a car that is on their inventory but nowhere in the yard as well as finding cars in the yard that never were posted online.

Yeah, same deal up my way. Inventory showed one 79 truck, when I get there there are three, and even parked all side-by-side. I was a busy boy for several days scavenging goodies off them.

Thats not a good deal.
Used get them for 60-80 for both sides.
Heads were 80 a pair
Blocks were 75-90.

The yards have been hit by EPA and other fees...but then again they also see the resale of used parts online.. and now want in.

I Agree, but at this point everything is going up, so either wait pay more money and be content with the purchase. Parts are drying up everyone wants top dollar for what they have. I just want to enjoy the hobby. I enjoy this site and see many members helping people out. I’m heading to yard today for fun and see what is left of the car. If someone needs something that they couldn’t get well then i helped someone out.

I think there are insiders at my yard that email SC300/400 buddies becasue whenever I see them they are robbed of everything! They even break the dash glass to pull the LED needles. Bastards, they always beat me!

There are many...MANY.. who dont NEED help...but they take advantage of it anyways..likely cause their vision of poor or frugal differs from others. Pay cut vs job loss for instance..lol
Yes things have gone up in price with years.
This hobby isn't for everyone. As much as we all like to share and see the world/next generation embrace it...if they did...you wouldn't find **** for sale anymore...or cheap. Everything would be bought up..the prices would skyrocket even more. More potential cars would be wrecked. Relatively speaking...this has never been cheap in general. Deals? Sometimes, yes. Most of us have a stumbled upon a great deal or 3. Can mopars be cheaper than others? sometimes..depends on your knowledge...but they're not a chevy..... mopar stuff isnt cheap, It's always been expensive with some exceptions 'like mentioned' for those who just want **** gone..and almost give it away. Now i complain that prices have gone up..but we are talking about businesses who sell @scrap prices if it doesn't sell....so the high *** prices will cause more to be scrapped and a lesser chance of them even making the money...but that holds hands with the reason being the push toward electric cars... AND everyone and their kids are trying to get into them as if it's their birthright! I've watched them go up for years. More and more youngsters get into this hobby...and I respect the ones that pick up a book and sort through junk yards... that's earning it. No one's giving them a booster seat.... but pay attention to almost every son or daughter who have taken over a business in this market and what do you find? Arrogant entitled gougers who want top dollar 'their top dollar' for everything they have. A mopar yard that's been around for 30-40 yrs is an example ... look at the cars... the condition...and they want how much? There is a fine line... again not everyon can be in this, that makes it a privilege...but yet you cant charge so much that a car just rots when no one believes its condition is worth their price. How bad do folks want the cars back on the road..and how bad do they just want to say they have one in the yard or get rich...like it's the last one on earth...

Points..
1.wrecking yards are a rip off when the parts will all all be recycled as scrap for WAY less a ton.. than if they kept the prices fair and moved the parts... that's also conserving cars 'dont need a new one if you maintain the one you have'
2.Not everyone can be envolved in this hobby, outside of that $1500 runner fixer upper...most folks 'especially kids who make about zero money, and in this economy enter start saving for a house or college' ..they cant really buy and collect the parts for a restoration or project, nor facilitate it-unless mom n dad do.
Deep down... no one really respects a kid who's mom n dad buy him a hot rod and made them a clone of themselves.
I dont know of many kids spoon fed ..and I mean how many people are in America? So even if 30 screen names came on here and said they bought their kid the car and do most of the work...that's a drop in a bucket. Pay your dues and earn it. Itll be funny when the some of these kids drive these cars for a bit...then decide they don't want them and want a newer car..lmao

No one has to agree.idc.
