I admit I am old, raised by old parents that could and would cook but most everyone where I was raised in rural SW Ga could cook. There was no fast food, no grocery with a deli, no eatery on every corner. There was just one corner!etc.
Today I am amazed at the vast number of "younger" families where the wife hardly ever cooks, I understand if the wife was raised in suburbia by parents that never cooked, she never learned. They make so damn much money and live where there is instant food!!
