What are your thoughts on it. I should have done something to my 2006 Dodge 3/4 ton several years ago but I didn’t so I’m kicking around doing something now before it’s to late. It’s pretty good underneath but I have some body rust needing addressed. I can do some body work but in Pa if I don’t do something soon I’ll be Fred Flintstone yaba daba doooo.

The guy doing the final prep work and paint on my Demon says he swears by it. He says it is expensive, but he would buy it by the gallon and apply it with a Shutz(spelling) gun. That's what I am doing to the Demon after it is painted.

a few of my buddies have plow trucks and every fall time they spray the underside of their pick-up trucks to get ready for the snow... they swear by it... i think its about $10 for an aerosol can in my area...

We have a business about 25 miles from my house that does cars and trucks. A level 3 on my 3/4 ton is 300-350.00 and the pull the taillights and and plugs. And of course the whole bottom. They quote 3 hours but if you are going to wait he will put two guys on it and have it in 2 hours. That’s what I would have to do. Because of the salt and salt brine already on it the spray it with a neutralizer first.

I am close to you and I have never heard a bad word about Rick Finnel in Butler

Is he still alive. Problem with that stuff is it’s such a mess. My dad had his suburban done by him and we caused him out everytime we worked on that thing.

I dont know for sure he is still with us, but I am sure every you parked in the summer you left your DNA

I sprayed my truck the year I bought it. seemed decent, smells funny when it gets warm. doesnt last very long if you run the car through a car wash with the underbody flush.

Good to know but you probably wouldn’t have to have that done. I know they want you to come back for follow ups.

I'm in pa and use it on my truck every fall. 04 ram with no rust. I buy it by the gallon and use an undercoating gun. I also buy a few cans to use my spray tubing in all the nooks and crannies. Takes about 2 hours. I only clean the painted body surfaces during winter and do nothing with the wheel wells or underside until spring. It does smell for a week or two after applying and when the moisture or condensation drips off it makes it appear to have a fluid leak. All worth it to me to have a truck notorious for rust being rust free after 18 years.

I wish I had done it a couple years ago but it usually sits during the winter unused most of the time. But my son junker broke down so he used it for work not this year but the past two winters. It’s sucks but you gotta help your kids.

I also have an 04 Ram 2500 that is virtually rust free. I use boiled linseed oil and only need to apply it every other year. Good thing about that stuff is that it won’t wash off when you go through the car wash with underbody spray. I tried fluid film on the wife’s Durango after we bought it but it washed off too fast. It’s a 2012 and is rustier underneath than my 04 Ram. Linseed oil only from now on. The **** they put on the roads here in PA in the winter absolutely destroys vehicles.

And roads and bridges too.

Oh yeah, brine solution and rock salt. How about how they pave our roads. Tar and chip. Essentially using our vehicles to pave the roads. Our roads are totally **** right now. I'm used to seeing pot holes ,but what I'm seeing this year is beyond terrible. Where the %$uck is our taxes going. Do get me started. Hahaha

I've never heard of pissin the whole under side of a vehicle with it, but it sure as heck works to protect parts you don't want to rust.

$.59/gal tax on gasoline ( 2nd highest in the nation) and we have to deal with tar and chip highways. WTF?!? Some assholes in Harrisburg are preparing to retire to the Bahamas. But I digress…..

I used Woolwax on my new RAM in 2020. Did it myself using their sprayer an some spray cans. Dropped spare and removed rocker plugs to spray in there. So far so good. Stays on well. Did not have to re-apply this year but will before next winter.
I have seen some videos where they say it will encapsulate and stop further rust. Going to try on my wife's 12 Grand Cherokee in the spring. Good product.
