What car deal did you get back in the day?
Not a Mopar however this is as good as it ever got for me. Original 64 1/2 SS 409 missing the Intake and Transmission. The rest of it was there..... In very rough shape. $175.00 put it on the trailer. But there was a problem. I couldn't locate the Title and after I thought all my efforts were exhausted sold the car... Young and dumb lol....
Fast forward to last week when I was introduced to an employee at a company I now work for she and I quickly connected within a circle of friends. It turns out her ex father-in law owned the car and her ex husband has the Title to the car. Well known local Doctor which fit the story I was told and had social media evolved in the year 2000 I could have easily connected the dots and got the Title she said. That's a 6 figure car restored.
I have too many other stories but for older people like myself we will have similar histories. It's why I cringe when I see the prices people pay today.... Glad that life is behind me....
