Kickdown issues lokar kickdown upgrade?

Thanks for all the responses, but I figured out my problem and fixed it. Since the rpm air gap is taller that the stock manifold I extended the kickdown rod behind the valve covers with this $16 edelbrock piece, now I can fully get WOT while kicking down to the lower gear!
