halftime show

Comparing Motown to rap is like apples to bowling balls. I'm sure music can't be your thing. Motown was polished, measured rhythm and blues, some of the best music of the 60's. They had great producers, songwriting teams, and performers. Smokey, Marvin, Aretha, and so many others through the 60/70's. They were the other side of great music equal to rock and roll in popularity. Rap, I don't get, but I'm not suppose to I would guess. I also don't get rat rods, or low riders either, but it's their thing, as muscle era is mine. All good. I haven't seen a halftime show in a long time, so I can't judge what was on. I just know, hearing who is performing, it's not for me.
You're missing the point... which was all those songs were later sampled, allowed to be, and it became the foundation of rap .period. no one said one was better than the other or even tried to compare the quality 'which is truly up to the ear of the listener'.

I've played live music as a drummer 'all genres' for 30 years. I know many people, that's all I'll say. Im not the end all.. but I'm well seasoned... so don't argue the inarguable with me.
