I have an opportunity to save a 64 bcuda. Thing is,I am located in the Rochester Ny area, and the 64 is in Tahoe actually. Owner says Reno near by. I am planning to fly out mid May to see this 64. Owner tells me it rolls and is complete.

Never had to haul anything this far. Anybody have any leads for a car transporter? There would be no rush to get it to Rochester if I purchase it,other than before next fall.

Thanks for any/all help.

I also agree - road trip - but with a caveat. Since your pick up time seems set out a ways and shipping parts across the country any more is damn expensive. If you know what parts you might need, and the budget allows. I'd consider making deals with people that broach your road trip, pickup an enclosed trailer where the car is. Kind of hobo back picking up pieces along the way. Make a real road trip of it. Might even sell the trailer for more than you bought it for. AZ builds lots of trailers.

Or, and this is a stretch. But there are a **** ton of snowbirds with the big RV's that are down in AZ that start heading home soon. With fuel prices as high as they are. Just thinking outside the box. Pops is down there now but he's not headed your direction. If I could find stuff for him to haul to offset costs a bit..... he'd be all in.

Rentals from California are expensive right now. Don’t know how optioned the car is but plan on a labor of love if it is not a “scuff and buff”car.

My man Kyle who came and tried to drive his sweptline home got a quote of like 2700 bucks to rent a hauler OUT OF CALIFORNIA to TN. Seems CA is a little short on U-hauls as everyone is LEAVING! He got it transported cross country for about $700.

That’s correct! Some shippers will give good prices if it can be picked up at their time frame.I’ll be out to Hot August nights and might be able to help you out then but only to St. Louis mo.

Last year my cousin's son-in-law left SoCal to pick up a U-haul in Las Vegas. Even with the mileage charge it was cheaper to Idaho, A LOT cheaper...
