That's clean....WAY better than the Home Depot job I did on mine, lol.

The biggest problem was Maple Grove wouldn't even let me go on the track not even do a slow test or anything with my car because I didn't have that firewall in the back that was Maple Grove here in Pennsylvania that's the closest track to me so they tell me if I got the firewall then I can run as fast as 10.00 but I don't even know what the car run or anything about it because they wouldn't even let me touch their track because of that

Nice work! I have a question, so outward of the metal interior pieces. The trunk space leads over the wheelhouse and into the quarter window area, which is only separated by the rear quarter window cardboard panel. Is that an issue?

I have never had a track get that granular on my car. I guess it depends on where you race. When I raced at Bandimere in Colorado years ago, they would check my car over with a fine tooth comb....Some of the tracks here in Indiana literally don't even tech the cars, which makes me a little uncomfortable because the car in the other lane could be a cobbled together piece of trash.

To your point, I have more questions raised if I have me back seat out of the car (exposing the rear firewall)....so I usually just leave the seat in to avoid questions.

I know it is a pretty fine point and you really need to know the car. Actually thinking about it all A bodies are open like that, not just fastbacks.

Not sure why a rear partition panel made out of the required material bolted/screwed into place would not be sufficient. It “seals” to the steel interior panels and at the top and bottom.

The problem with the fastbacks is what separates the trunk from the passenger compartment is wood

Fastbacks are different and a regular a body you can you can block off the back if you don't put the back seat back in but a fastback you can put the back seat back in and you still have a compartment that's made of wood that closes off the trunk to the passenger compartment and that's where the problem begin.

You can just remake the plywood panel out of whatever gauge steel or aluminum is required and use screws of bolts to install it.

No, I couldn't because I have a 20gal fuel cell in my trunk and it protrudes through so I had to get it made like that. Plus the way it is made I like it much better.

Ok, the textured paint came from Summit. The front sheet metal dash is painted this also, and the sheet metal plate I made to cover the hood cowling vent. next will be a cover for the front valance behind the bumper.
