Yes! I spent WAY more $ than I should had and mine went to 8k once Lots of horsepower on the Dyno at that rpm but i decided for the sake of my mechanical valve train I lightened up the springs and she spins happily at 6k now.
Smart. A lot of people don't take the weakest link into consideration when they build. Your 273 should last forever at that rpm, maybe even another 500 rpm.
