Why the vent?

There is no Heat down there and no cab vent.
I dont get it...

(Is this the old version of heated / cooled seats?)

:)

I think its cool I just dont understand it.

Anyone know why Dodge spent the coin on this?

I don't know, but I could sure use that seat frame or one like it for my 49.

This sounds silly, but I was told by a gentleman who owned a 47 dodge truck that you open the damper for a soft ride and close it for a firm ride.

Honestly that is the best reply yet. Thank you.

This truck is all original. Nothing has been "changed" in its life.

The family bought it new.

It is a huge truck. Dump truck huge. I think its a three ton truck. Its so cool no one even looks at it.

I remember chuckling a little when he told me that, but he did say that was the reason they did it. It was a big old farm truck, and he said when working in the fields back then it was a ruff ride.

I think you nailed it square on.

In fact, I sent that to the owner and he was very excited to finaly understand why that part exists.

So. THANK YOU SIR.
