I have never had a track get that granular on my car. I guess it depends on where you race. When I raced at Bandimere in Colorado years ago, they would check my car over with a fine tooth comb....Some of the tracks here in Indiana literally don't even tech the cars, which makes me a little uncomfortable because the car in the other lane could be a cobbled together piece of trash.
To your point, I have more questions raised if I have me back seat out of the car (exposing the rear firewall)....so I usually just leave the seat in to avoid questions.
