Well one thing for sure . That repair was a hell of a lot better then some of the bondo over newspaper I have see on cars that are sold on this and other sites.

We had a green 1970 340 4pd duster here on the lift. The large holes in frame rail repairs were done with masking tape with under coat over the tape and then they sprinkled dirt on the undercoat repair to hide it. A member on this site bought the car. The only way we saw it was on the lift we saw a very small piece of tape edge that didn't adhere.

I would rather have the repair shown above done on an old car quarter panel to pass state inspection then a gallon of water absorbing Bondo.

Did any of you try and remove a thick coat of POR15 from rusty metal. It is like powder coat until it starts peeling on its own. You cannot sand blast it off easily.
