A833 - gearing

Actually it a 2.47 1st gear.
1970 AAR and T/As and 1971-1974 23 spline trans got the 2.47 1st gear set.
They have the 3 groove markings in the cluster gear set.

I do not see any evidence of any mods inside such as, Slick Shift, Pro Shift or Face Plating etc..

I do see in the last picture in post #7 that somebody has done some grinding on the B-body shifter mounting pad. I wonder why?
