Chrysler Corp. badged a lot of vehicles after fish but never a Bass. I'll bet some of you would drive a badass bass. Anywho... I live near lake Hartwell in SC where the bass master classic is held.
Tomorrow morning 55 registered boats and anglers are going after them feckin fishes. I think FOX Carolina will have the most compressive coverage if you are interested. Bassmaster Classic happening this Friday - Bing video
Here is the part that is so strange.... " I can remember a year when is snowed every Wednesday in the month of March. At this minute (2022) my windows are open, and my thermostat shows 81 F. I don't have question is global climate change real or not.
Feck all that. I gotta go wet a hook. I hope the rest of you have a great weekend.
OH damn,,, P.S. 03/04 is our 44th wedding anniversary. I can't say if the root of family tree will get wet this weekend. Good luck to all.

Striped bass here at Elephant Butte lake. Or there used to be at least. Best eating fish there is IMO.

Never understood the appeal of bass. They don't put up much of a fight. Must be the fact they're easy to catch, plentiful, and don't get very big. 1 fish feeds 2 most times.

I prefer catfish.

Love bass fishing. As the say pound for pound one of the best fighters. I'll see if I can watch footage. Enjoy!
Happy anniversary.
Oh muskie put up a good fight too!

Happy Anniversary!!!

Was up near you last weekend...Camping in Calhoun Falls State Park... Looking at Lake Hartwell for possibly sometime this summer!!! If we make it up that way I give you a shout!!!

Oh man !! Don't get me started, I was ranked 27 in the state of Arkansas in 1987 , and we have a bunch of fisherman here.

High of 70 today with a rain front moving in tomorrow, got to get my hooks wet.

I won't argue the size/feeding portions, but bass put up a fight! I've never gone for catfish, they were not in the lakes I frequented. Bass were the most fun.

Hell yeah they are! Always a fun time after you hook one. But alas, I haven't fished in close to twenty years.

How do you become a good fisherman? Drop a hook into the water and wait....? Really.....i did it off a pier and I sat there...and sat....and sat. F THIS I'M GONNA GET A BEER.

Fish your moon fazzes.. and weather patterns and you will not have time to drink a beer.
I like it right before a front is moving in

Beautiful! A large bucketmouth(6+ lbs) is on my "bucket" list.
I havent paid attn to moon phases etc, I know I should to catch like you got Mike. WELL DONE!

Thank goodness they never named a car a "Crappie"...
Thats funny right there I don't care who you are. I fish for the larger bream and /or crappie with live bait while wifey works the rubber worm (no vulgar BS suggested) and other artificial lures. Either of us might switch off depending on who is having the better luck. Nope, what did I say earlier? Aint no fish in the gutter. :)
The thing about the bugle mouth bass is not so much their fight as it is the successful land it. They have a knack for coming out of the water and spitting the hook right at you. When you get a good look at a big bass smiling at you, you are hooked. You wanna land him and his whole famn damly. LOL
Wifey is out shopping now and going to pick up a can of the green nightcrawlers. I still don't get how they exist today when the didn't back when I was younger. Dump remnants of the cup in the water and it's like St. Pattys Day. Greener than antifreeze. Me and the fish like them. For different reasons of course.

Yep, that's how I got hooked. It was a mount worthy fish. But I always was a catch and release type of fisherman.

Can't wait! My old boat is getting tuned up for another season of mine sweeping submerged pine trees at Sam Rayburn and Toledo Bend. Lot's of bass but we're targeting crappie for the young'ns this year.

Light a fire, keep a man warm for the night....

Light a man on fire and keep him warm for the rest of his life.... :D

My brother has place on Toledo Bend at Hemphill

Ya know it's crawdad season and the fish are starting to bite? It might be time for a road trip....I spend much time in Hemphill during deer season and my favorite squirrel spot is just east of there too!
