66340sedan has one on this site I always like his car. My son was talking to me today and boy does he have some cool plans. It is definitely going to be a gasser so the wheels have to go they are not allowed in the class.
ECG Rules — East Coast Gassers.
That looks like a LOT of fun, I wish there was such a thing as a West Coast Gassers.
ECG rules are a LOT less strict than SEGA. Should/could result in a lot more turnout.
Sega is a great watch, but has become a bad case of most-money-wins.
In East coast gasser, looks like talent can win.
Of course, sometimes fun is all that matters........

That thing looks WAY to cool to build a gasser

I vote you make this a street cruiser and have your boy find something else to make a gasser

It is pretty much hollowed out if you look close. I don't think there is a wire harness. It will probably get a straight axle so we can be under the 12" height limit in the front. We'll see. He wants to finish the Demon cage first. He didn't want to pass it up because of the year.
We had the Barracuda but they wouldn't let it in the class. So now I can fix that up for the street. I'll probably tub it when we fix the quarters so I can use the drag light wheels from the valiant or Duster. To much to do and life is passing by so fast. The valiant will get us back to the track the quickest. That's the plan having fun.

Thanks!
I’ve seen this car posted for sale before, but I don’t think it was recent? Can’t wait to see what your plans are for it, looks like it will be fun!

Its sleeping right now with the rest of the litter that Todd has. 5 FB's 3 coupe's This one is a keeper for me but his two have to get finished first. We are not as fast as we once were. We do more bull shitting then work. And now there is a TV and two chairs in the garage with a fridge full of cores minis. He thinks he is drinking less because the cans are smaller.

i've read your references to his cars before. my first mopar was a '69 fastback formula s. also had a '67 notch. would really like to get another one before they cover me with dirt. let me know if we can ever work something out. currently own a '69 dart gt and a '70 duster.

Looking forward to seeing the outcome
I have seen these 66es get altered by moving the rear forward as well as the front, should be a fast as a feather with some ponies under the hood.
Watching this thread and see if a restoration thread gets started

Wheel base must remain factory . And there will be no resto thread. Paint/vintage aged wrap. and performance improvements to the chassis only. We have an engine and 18 spline Hemi crash box. I am talking light weight straight axle in the future. My son already ordered roller bearings to replace the lower control arm bushings for now.

Let me say congratulations on the buy of that cool 66 I have been seeing on line for a long time

Damn that's a cool little hot rod! What a great project.
