If there's a slot on the tabs, the valve covers are for the dual type wire retainers.

One advantage of the dual retainer is that you can snap 8mm wires into them. Can't do that with the singe wire clips, as Syleng1 found out.

Waiting at the barber. But zoomed in on prior pick. This is how I got the cat but it needed new wires. You can see the slit between the saddles. What threw me off was the YearOne site said four of the single grommets for 66-67 cars not eight. The chrome looms on the top valve cover bolts are obviously aftermarket. Thanks all.
