1967 Dodge Dart 270

Carb swap is in the works. Got a quick question. When I got the 2 barrel intake off, there was a good bit of oil in between the gasket and the surfaces of both the intake and the heads. Is this normal? I noted that there were 4 bolts that were completely coated in oil and I assume they run into an oil passage at the bottom and oil was running up the bolts and getting into the gasket. After speaking with one of my friends with several years in an engine shop, I have a plan to seal the bolts and coolant passages and have new gaskets for when the 4 barrel goes on (tomorrow). On a side note, the cam looks great!
