Manifold question

In your case i'd use the Performer. As far as the cam, the high energy 260 is ok, but i'd look at the Summit 6900 at about half the price. Use whatever carb you have in the best shape. The AFB's may require a plate to seal well with the Perf.

P.S. I always try to remind people that if you're going from a 2 to 4bbl, make sure you get the trans linkage close to spot on.

the Summit cam, at half the price of the 260? I didn't know that "free" could be cut in half. I have the 260 on the shelf from an older project.
If I buy a cam, I will probably go with a 360-2bbl stock replacement. I've done that before on 318s, and was real happy. DEAD RINGER for a COMP 252/ except for the lift (0.015" difference) and a Melling 360-2 replacement cam was 1/2 the price of the COMP 252, the last time I'd bought one. for 1/2 the price I will live with 0.015" less lift (rest of specs identical) I was real happy with that cam in my 83 D250 with a 318. I ran a Performer intake and AFB carb on that one, but I also put Magnum heads on the LA block, (this time I am going with '302s/ because again I HAVE them) and I put a pair of Hooker Super Comp headers on that engine. Not going with headers on this one though I already have true duals to the bumper in place. may go to Magnum manifolds or shorty headers down the road.

Another difference in the truck? 3.55 gears, 32" tall (235/85-16) tires vs (for the time being at least) 2.71s with 225/70-15s (unsure of height of those) I won't be with my Fury, but I hauled and towed (often) with that truck. and also ran 1000 miles a week with light (or no) load several times, after the upgrade. I miss that truck.
It had loads more power and gas mileage/ definitely improved vs stock. Especially on a road trip. And it even ran happily on E85, if I felt like running it. When I would do so, I'd usually run 1/2 a tank E85 and 1/2 a tank 87 octane. I liked doing so whenever I had to go to Indiana for anything, as E85 was MUCH cheaper over there, not the 6 or 8 cents it saves you here in Illinois. it was 40-60 cents a gallon cheaper than 87 at some stations back then. If the truck ran it without complaining, I didn't complain. Probably won't try the E85 in this car though. If only because there isnt enough difference in price anymore to justify it. so E85 runnability isn't a concern here.
This was all applied to a stock, unrebuilt 135k mile short block, that was never pulled from the truck.
My Fury doesn't quite have 1/2 that mileage. Im at 57k original miles on the Fury, I'm 2nd owner, got it with 38k in 2007
Its a 78, 2 door hardtop. Original maroon paint.
I will loook into that Summit cam though out of curiosity.
Id like to swap to somewhere around 2.94-3.08-3.21 in the Fury, eventually. It is great on gas as is (though a little flat on perf) and believe it or not the Lean burn still works. Its starting to ping at weird times so I think the lean burn may be starting to go goofy on me. Totally stock except for teh dual exhaust at present. Carb needs rebuilt due to little usage, not wanting to idle cleanly the past summer and a half. otherwise carb is fine. just needs cleaning really but I need to swap it out for vacuum advance port to eliminate that lean burn. has a Holley 2280 (factory original carb) that I have kitted, a couple times over the years.

and yup the intake you post is the exact one I opened this thread, questioning. Thanks for that,

For carbs I have 2 fresh TQs (not been on an engine since Demon Sizzler went thru them, rebushed them, and rejetted them) so those would be good to go.
I have a 9801 "Competition" TQ with integral choke Unknown condition but very clean. Wouldn't be afraid to drop that one on as is, and go as a test.
I have a 950x AFB/Edelbrock (forget which, they are the same) 500 cfm with fresh kit in it This was the carb I was leaning towards as a 1st choice.
(not set in stone)
And I have at least 1, Edelbrock/AFB (again forget which) "600" I think they were "625" as a Carter, "600" as an Edelbrock. need freshened but I have kits on hand.
