Bought an 11’ 3/4”X7.25” piece of maple hardwood couple weeks ago $270.00. Ya that’s right $270.00. $.25 PER SQ. INCH
Will be a dead one when the owner gets home.

i hate sales tax (apart from the fact that ALL taxation is theft)
you wanna charge sales tax, fine, charge sales tax
but why screw over me the buyer?

Always thought sales/buyers tax was **** still do. Here if you buy a used car they still charge you tax on it even though the sales tax was payed when new, the tax, it was explained to me is not on the item, but on the act of selling and because we have government insurance you can’t register the car with out paying the tax. Still crap I mean they could possibly collect tax in the car 50 times in the life of the car. Here’s another one that really......... me off in manisnowba we pay $0.10 on EVERY can or bottle that contains beer even the imported ones in the liquor store. Try to return them to get your deposit back the vendor says no only domestic beer containers. Had a s... load of imported bottles and can that I payed deposit on. Called Manitoba liquor control and went up one side and down the other. Two days later MLC called back and told me you will now be able to cash your empties in. When I went to the vendor they gave me my money under protest. MLC controls bar licensing also Lmao
That really hurts when they add the Gouge and Screw Tax (GST)
Yeah, you have to wonder how much tax is generated from a car from the time it leaves the line till the last part is sold at the wreckers. Then it's crushed and made into more cars or anything metal and it starts all over again. Maybe best we didn't know.
So went for my physio and then to the hospital for my pre-op.
Sat and waited 45 min to get my turn at the pre-op then had all the process done which took another hr or so it felt like an hr.
Heard on the news this afternoon at noon that a 26 yr old guy working as an arborist working here in town and only a few blocks away from us got caught and dragged through the chipper. At least it was quick!! I'd hate to be the one who had to retrieve the remains let alone tell his family. Just hope there weren't any kids

looks like we finally got spring here
i spend a few hours with a chain saw yesterday sectioning trees that came down over the winter
i think there is 3 more i need to take care...which means the kids have plenty of income opportunities
im tempted to take the plow and the ballast of the truck, but its only been 4 days since i last needed to plow snow, so i think ill hold off a little longer

Well, i went ahead and poked it
(I use 8 bundles of 3 tab shingles for ballast, they belong in the back shed)
I had to get the lawnmower out to get the shingles in, and decided to take an hour or so to sweep up and play tetris with the stuff in there...I hasn't been this clean in years!

Today has been gorgeous and got quite warm outside. Took the cover off my gazebo and closed the roof up. I slide a sheet of plywood on top of the gazebo to help protect it in the winter and secure it down with zip ties. The roof sections (5) slide back under each other.
The snow is sure disappearing now.
Just checked the weather and it's 14 beautiful degrees and still climbing it looks like.
