of the early a bodies which factory bucket seats fit correctly in a 64 Valiant and how does one go about converting single bowl master cylinders to dual bowl master cylinders?

63-65 seats from an a-body will work. 66 is slightly different but would also fit

if you go to the "How to articles" there is a great post on there giving you the part numbers and everything. I followed it and did the swap on my 66 and it worked perfect and easy.

Thanks Searcher. I looked at the article that 64conv65hard also sent me. Kind of confused. There are not enough holes in that prop valve for another brake line. Im guessing here that the two are joined off the MC and are going into the prop valve in a single hole?? If so how does that differ from just using the single bowl MC? Or am I looking at this all wrong lol??

The brake line from the rear brakes go directly to 1 reservoir of the new MC. The distributing valve has 4 holes (1 for front left, 1 front right, 1 rear and 1 from MC). You are basically removing the 1 line from the rear brakes and going directly to the MC (that's the hole you plug (on the distributing valve)). Then you're just putting the line that goes from the old MC and put it into the new MC. 2 lines now are coming out of your new MC, 1 going to the rear brakes and the other going to the distributing valve for the front brakes.

I get it now, going to have to read the article again, get all the parts and try it. I would however like to use a later or different m/c. not a fan of the one in the pictures.

This is how I did it oh so many years ago... Posting this "Option" ... I wanted to hide my proportion valve...
