Wow....the price keeps going up on these....

It is obvious that the small block six pack parts have gotten out of hand in price. But they are extremely rare in comparison to B or RB manifolds which I believe are both still being cast by Edelbrock and are readily available.

Disagree, but only with the "B" part of your post. The 383 Sixpack hasn't been available for years. And because they were never a factory option, I think they are rarer than the small block. There is just much less demand for the 383 Sixpack.
I have a 440 Sixpack intake that I'm not using, simply because of the price of carbs.
A Sixpack center carb is more money than a 1050 dominator.

Okay maybe I'm missing something, wouldn't be the first time LOL but this took me about 5 minutes to find these two and there's plenty more where that came from.

Let's not forget to mention, most of these guys trying to sell stuff at crazy high prices are people that either cant or dont know how to restore a car or two they have more money than brains because its just ridiculous some of the **** i see for sale but im absolutely the guy that offers them way below an average price just to give them a reality check. Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay! Some folks think its gold but they also have no idea what the crusty **** costs to restore.

You see what kinda prices a small block crossram intake is bringing now?? Crazy! I dont even care about the performance aspect i just wanted one ever since i was a kid but i aint paying that much for an intake!!!

We entered the Pandemic coming off a truly great economy. Then lockdown on every point. People shut in at home, many working at home, gov'ment gives out free $$ a few times, people are buying stuff like no tomorrow. What run up the price of lumber? The sububanite shut in at home, looking for some project to get way from his wife? There was and IS no shortage of lumber at the mills. Were housing starts that high? No. Is demand that high? I doubt it with the stupid price.
People paying stupid $$ for odd vehicles at the auctions. Another destination to spend $$$ that they have excess of.

Just bought an A body, a833 today. Shifter, boot, mechanism bracket and rods. $300 lol people paying these big bucks dont know how to negotiate or look around any where but the internet and that blows my mind

that's C bodies... none are worth asking proces even restored they are only 5-8k cars but when you part rust free ones out they are worth more in parts than whole i save none of them and cut them up.and sell everything thats what pays for.my A and B body cars

Thats why people part out A and B and whatever more doors, they are all worth way more in parts than as a project or a nice driver.
I still love talking with any guy that loves his old car, especially the ones most "enthusiasts" turn their nose up at!!!

I love c bodies and 4 doors, i dont care either i like them all, some more than others but I'm just saying they are worth more in parts than as a whole car

its def a hard time for my kiddo right now. finding said driver or light project that just needs some tlc and is affordable is hard. shoulda kept my 4 door 64 and 2 door 69....

I def wont comment on the affordability or not of your car. that wasn't my intention and certainly didn't mean for anyone to take any offense. He would not be interested in that car either.

I will clarify....i paid 800 bucks for the 64 dart 4 door in better shape and 450 for the 69 in about the same shape and it was a 2 door, but this was 20 plus years ago. so i get it...prices change. my comments were more about how the prices have drastically increased since 2020. It makes it that much harder for a teenager to get involved with the hobby and/or parents to extend extra monies for such things.

If we could find a 69 dart 2 door slant car or as a backup a 70 duster slant car, take all the old powertrain parts off my 70 and make a nice driver 340 car and be under 5000 total for everything....perfect. but that's most likely not gonna happen in this current climate. otherwise i can take that 5000 and put it into a newer car as a down payment...and have a cheap monthly for a couple of years and he could get a part time job to help pay for it.

I know where a 70 duster is sitting near me, but it will continue to rot into the ground because the price is just ridiculous for something that needs a new floor pan, has bondo on the back, missing grille, needs full interior redone.....its a 800 buck car they want 4500 for.

good luck with your sale though. :)

Prices change because of internet, you get off the beaten path and away from junk yards and internet i just paid $850 for a 99.8% rust free 71 duster with a stuck 440 amd 727 with 1 quarter size hole.in the floor pan and a title! and he was tickled about getting that much

yeah this is at a local junk yard that only does old cars....it'll be parted for what's left or crushed on day when the yard goes away.

and internet is true too....cause so far i haven't found anything like that on here either.

If I told you what I paid for my small block cross ram you'd crap your pants!!! It was what I'd consider expensive but after seeing the going rate I STOLE IT!!! It's going on my car and it's not for sale

Seeing what the going rate is for a six pack manifold I got this at a better price and I don't have to buy 3 expensive carbs and the air cleaner to go with it.
