I always ask when they will return the tool, write the date down and ask them on that date or time for it. Sometimes they may say they have not used it yet and I still ask for it back and tell them when they are ready to use it, I will loan it to them again. Burn me once, shame on you, burn me twice, shame on me. I was almost burnt once and lost a old friend over it. It's just a good way to keep friends honest.
