I believe you. Some of the early Hemi blocks were similar. They called them "extended service blocks". They were cast really thick with many rebuilds in mind through the years. My 331 is an extended service block. They are meant to be bored and bored and bored and bored some more, so I have no doubt some of the early RB engines were the same.
