Yeah I messed with timing a little yesterday. I went 16 initial and it has 18 in the distributor..seemed better . May try 14 see what it does. What ignition system are you using. I got my dizzy and ignition box off a buddy it was basically new but was set up for his stroker with a little bigger cam. He got it from Don at FBO. It has 18 mechanical and 12 vacuum. I would think it would be really close to what I need..hmm
