Ported Victor 340 intake ****..

true that.
Going into last season i was worried about breaking my rear with the stroker and a radial tire. I figured it might just live off the foot running 10.70’s, so that’s what i built towards( because from previous experience i knew running 10.30’s at this weight it would break quick..(and did)….another combo while back…lol
So my plan was new Dana this winter, but the broken rear middle of season last year forced me to come up with a quick bandaid..a “ better” and new 3rd member with nodular case, etc, etc from Moser. I know it will take a bit more abuse than a stock deal. The opportunity to grab these heads i couldnt pass up, so i hope it will live one whole season footbreaking it with the extra steam i will make.
Would it be faster with more cam..sure, more headers, sure, a roller, sure..but any of that stuff makes me sitting it out with a broke rear.
At my age, dont want to sit anything out, but a Dana will definitely be under it NEXT season… then at that point..i can hop it up if want to

I completely understand. I'm a member of the broken 8 3/4, remove and disassemble the 727 club. The 408 broke mine on the second pass that it hooked up, it just couldn't take the strain of a 1.37 60' in a 3220# car. Some guys run them for years and never have any issues. Mine only had about 60 passes behind a 340 on them and let go. I am living proof that what can happen, will happen, I've always been luck that way. LOL

Can't wait to see the new combo run, I'm sure it'll run hard. Rod is no dummy.
