What Are You Doing To/With Your Car Today?

Finished replacing the original slant six rear springs with 340 springs on my 63 Valiant convertible. I've had the 340 springs for quite a while, but finally bit the bullet and went to work. Disassembled the 340 springs, sandblasted the leaves, put them back together with new zinc interliners, plastic spacers and clamps. Then painted the springs with urethane primer and low gloss black top coat. New shackle bushings and u-bolts, too.

I've replaced springs on other cars, but I used to be a lot younger. Everything is heavier for me today. Oh, well, I did get it done.

Since I'm a glutton for punishment, my next project is putting my new Eaton HD springs on the rear of my 59 Dodge. At least I didn't have to take them apart, just paint them.
