360 Magnum vs 340 mild street build - my experience

What did the '70 Duster "all original" run in the 1/4 ? ever try it ? I know people that bought them brand new and tried to get into the 13's with 3.91's and couldn't with the only thing changed from show room was slicks.
Never took the Duster but this blue Swinger went high 13's with hubcaps and sticky Coronell's 340 4spd. Slicks slow them up with factory gears sets. Sometimes spinning a little was better. A dead hook would kill them.

I can remember my son's first pass on the track with the brown and white Duster. He was still sideways at the 1/8 mile. We were laughing our asses off. The blue 72 Duster 340 4spd 355's was a pig.

Back in the 80's Todd and I would buy them and the ones that run we would just hammer the living crap out of them. We're still doing it but its costing a lot more.
